Ways to Give

Why should I donate assets? There are tax incentives and benefits when giving assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or property to a non-profit like Southpointe. Many people own securities that have achieved unrealized gains in value over the years. By transferring ownership of the appreciated assets to the church, the donor avoids capital gain taxes on the sale of the assets. In addition, the donor receives a charitable deduction for the full market value of the assets. Before making a commitment of this type, please consult your CPA, tax attorney, or other financial advisor.
